Unique in concept and character, Rockwell Lounge is an upscale lounge and wine bar in downtown Stratford featuring our menu inspired by Chef Jack Beers and his culinary team. Chef Beers will take you on a culinary journey like no other while our expert mixologist, Alex Archer introduces you to wines and house cocktails that pair perfectly.

Head Chef: Jack Beers

Jack Beers is a Canadian-born Chef from Kitchener/Waterloo. He began his kitchen career at the age of 15 and thrived in the fast paced and ever-changing environment of professional restaurants. In 2013 Jack represented Canada in the prestigious Bocuse D’or cooking competition in Lyon, France as a Commis chef. His team placed 9th worldwide in the competition that year. Jack has spent much of his career in some of the world’s top restaurants – from Cambridge’s Langdon Hall, Vancouver’s Hawksworth, and the world’s ranked #2 Geranium in Copenhagen where Jack was sous chef. Jack has had the pleasure of working with some of the most respected and admired chefs and mentors including Johnathan Gushue of Langdon Hall, Alex Chen of Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar, and Rasmus Kofoed of Geranium. Chef Jack is excited to be leading the culinary team at Rockwell Lounge and is proud to call Stratford home. He is looking forward to bringing his experience and creativity to every dish and craft an incredible dining experience.

Mixologist: Alex Archer

We are SO excited to introduce Alex Archer as our bar manager and head mixologist at Rockwell Lounge. Alex spent years studying in the United Kingdom while also working as a touring musician and “drinking” in the culture. The cocktails and nightlife scene in Europe had a large impact on him and once he returned to Canada, he switched his creative goals from music to developing amazing cocktail recipes. Alex has designed cocktail programs for many restaurants and has made his name well known in Stratford, Kitchener and surrounding areas. Alex has completed training from the Toronto Institute of Bartending and placed in Ontario’s top 10 bartenders during Woodford Reserve’s Manhattan Experience in 2022. We are so excited to have Alex as part of our team and elevating our cocktails to a whole new level in the Rockwell lounge.

Sous Chef: Djordje Blagojevic

We are so excited to introduce Djordje Blagojevic (Georgie) as our Sous Chef at Rockwell Lounge. Georgie started cooking professionally at the age of 17. A long-time local of Kitchener/ Waterloo, he later moved to Toronto to pursue a hospitality education at George Brown college while working and staging at some of Toronto’s finest restaurants. These included: The Chase, Nota Bene, George restaurant and later working alongside other young talents at Wood’s. Coming back to his roots in the Waterloo region he found himself in the Executive Sous Chef position at Janet Lynn’s Bistro before accepting a position with Rockwell Lounge as our Sous Chef working alongside Chef Beers.
